Así fueron los MTV Video Music Awards 2020

Una nueva edición de los MTV Video Music Awards (MTV VMA) fue celebrada el domingo 30 de agosto, aunque en esta oportunidad, las cosas fueron un tanto diferentes. Como medida de seguridad para evitar la propagación del COVID-19, el espectáculo fue celebrado al aire libre desde cinco distritos de Nueva York (Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, el Bronx y Staten Island) y no desde el Barclays Center de Brooklyn, como se había previsto originalmente.

Este año, entre los invitados de MTV estuvieron Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift, entre otros. Asimismo, el grupo surcoreano BTS actuó por primera vez en la ceremonia, a la que también llegó la rapera Doja Cat, responsable del hit “Say so”, con muchas expectativas.

Además de las categorías ya conocidas, para los VMA 2020 fueron añadidas otras dos como respuesta al coronavirus: mejor video musical desde casa y actuación en cuarentena. A continuación, todo lo que debes saber sobre este evento.

El intérprete colombiano Maluma ganó junto J Balvin en la categoría de Mejor canción latina con el tema Que pena. Solo asistió Maluma a la presentación.

"Gracias a todos los fanáticos por su amor y su cariño que me dan todos los días", dijo Maluma en su discurso de aceptación, vestido de amarillo y en un plató rodeado de coches, desde donde sus seguidores acababan de escuchar su Hawái.
